About

Christa (She/Her)

HOW IT ALL STARTED

In 2010, I was looking for a creative outlet for myself and decided to start blogging as a tool to educate others about living a plant based lifestyle.  For that first year, I vowed to put out content every EVERY SINGLE DAY and as I did, my love for sharing and serving others continued to blossom!

EDUCATION AND TRAINING

Some years later, I decided I wanted to expand my business to include personal training and became a Certified Personal Trainer through The National Academy of Sports Medicine. I have always had a love for fitness as well as motivating others, so moving in this direction was a natural progression.  I’m also an ACE Behavior Change Specialist and a Certified Level 1 Nutrition Coach through Precision Nutrition.

COLLABORATIONS

Writing

I’ve had the pleasure of writing weekly columns for the now defunct Thrifty and Green, GoodVeg and Frugivore online magazines. I was also a contributing writer for I Eat Grass and Media Shower.

OTHER PERSONAL TIDBITS

My pronouns are She/Her.

To learn more about my personal story and my journey into personal training, please check out my “Freedom” post here!

I live in Los Angeles, but I grew up in Northern VA and Silver Spring, MD aka the DMV.

I’m a PROUD HBCU graduate- Clark Atlanta University (I have a degree in Theatre Arts).

I’m very passionate about activism and using my platform to highlight causes and change makers that uplift and highlight marginalized communities.

My Nicknames: Brutus (because of my huge appetite and love of food) Stah Boogie (for my love of old school hip-hop), Rerun (because I will watch TV shows and movies I love over and over again).

I love hugs, roller coasters and will never never pass up an opportunity to get on some swings or jump in a bouncy house no matter how old I get!
